Over-Cranking

Over cranking is also known as slow motion and the opposite of this is under cranking which is fast motion. In order to over crank using a camera the camera is hand cranked faster than it normally would be another way to do this is to play a normally recorded film back slower than normal.Over cranking is used within films at moments when the director wants to keep the audience on their toes. Under cranking is used to speed things up and little and perhaps add a bit of adrenaline to the shot.
