Whats goes on in Design Presentation & Reporting
This guy was an Austrian graphic designer, painter, photographer, sculptor .. ok he done everything just an all round art legend. If he hadn’t produced anything after the age of 28 his accomplishments to that time would have made him one of the greatest pioneers in visual communication. Bayer was the head of typography and advertising, he had a constructivist style. I finally found out what was responsible for all this geometric abstraction, it was the Neoplatonist philosophy which was the conceptual basis for the geometric abstraction. A concern of Bayer’s was the integration of typography and photography (typophoto) and his printing workshop worked more on commercial work instead of fine arts and graphics. Another guy connected to Bayer was Lyonel Feininger who was an unrepentant expressionist he made some crazy font like images.
